WSOPC January Results Roundup
- First five WSOPC events of 2024 already completed
- All events had over $1m prize pools
- Jonathan Glendinning follows up WPT Prime 4th place by winning WSOPC Dallas/Oklahoma
The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) is the busiest poker tour on the planet. No fewer than 40 WSOPC festivals took place in 2023 and with 20 already scheduled for the first half of 2024, it looks like this will be another busy year for the WSOP’s little brother mid-major tour.
Just three weeks into 2024 and there have already been five completed WSOPC festivals and five new main event champions have been ringed up. And if that wasn't enough for one month, there's still WSOPC Tunica to come to close off a bumper January for the tour. There were a total of 5,478 entries across these five main events, all making seven figure prize pools.
WSOPC Dallas/Oklahoma
Main Event Buy-In: $1,700
Main Event Entries: 851
Main Event Prize Pool: $1,206.069
Winner: Jonathan Glendinning
First Prize: $231,832
The first WSOPC event of 2024 to reach its conclusion was WSOPC Dallas/Oklahoma at Choctaw Casino on January 15th. The 53 event festival included 18 ring events and got the year off to a flying start with 851 players contesting the $1,700 main event. It was won by Jonathan Glendinning, who pocketed a nifty $231,832 when defeating William Berry heads up. Glendinning had finished fourth in the WPT Prime Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December for a career best payout of $505,000 and has carried over his form with his his second six-figure score within a month.
WSOPC Rozvadov
Main Event Buy-In: €1,100
Main Event Entries: 1,247
Main Event Prize Pool: €1,184,650

Just one day later on January 16th, WSOPC Rozvadov was wrapping up its 15 event, 12 rings festival in the Czech Republic with 1,274 entrants (947 unique entries plus 300 re-entries) in the €1,100 main event creating a prize pool of €1,184,650. The €230,779 first prize and the gold ring was won by a player who chose to remain anonymous, defeating a player claiming to be called Caner Toker, hmnn. So what do we know about the anonymous player? Well, there was a live stream and they did refer to him on that as Dadi17. Dadi? Dadi who? And what his heads-up opponent Caner Toker was smoking prior to the final table, we may never know.
N.B. There were several players who cashed listed as anonymous on the official result, some who were listed as screennames and even one calling himself Super Mario.

This huge field resulted in a prize pool of well over C$2m and eventual winner Zhunrui Chen’s first place prize was a new year’s resolution breaking C$334,891!
WSOPC Lincoln
Main Event Buy-In: $1,700
Main Event Entries: 742
Main Event Prize Pool: $1,124,130
Winner: Denis Lee

The fifth WSOPC in Lincoln, with another 15 gold rings on the schedule was remarkably not even the final WSOPC event of the month, as WSOPC Tunica is still to come, before we even get to February. WSOPC Lincoln's participation just ensured that all main events so far in 2024 have had prize pools of more than $1m, as the 742 entrants created a final payout total of $1,124,130. Denis Lee scooped the trophy in this event, for the biggest win of his career, taking home just over $200,000.
WSOPC Festivals in February 2024
The WSOPC only ever takes a break when the summer WSOP in Vegas is taking place. February is not as busy a month as January was for the WSOPC, however there are still two WSOPC festivals taking place. The first of these is at Pompano Beach and later in the month the action moves to North Carolina. The full schedule of WSOPC events in 2024 can be found here.
