GG Poker launches Road to WSOP Europe Online Satellites

Satellites to the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event have now been deployed in the GG Poker client. Players have the opportunity to win their way into the €10,350 WSOPE Main Event at Kings Casino in October 2024.

The world’s largest online poker site is yet to publish any additional information about the satellite series, so it is as yet unknown whether there will be a bonus prize for the winner, as there was for the 2024 Road to Vegas promotion. It is also not known wether they will be doing a ticket drop to kick-start the promotion, as they did previously.

There have also not been any details revealed for the WSOP Paradise qualification path. Given that it takes place in the Bahamas, will they really be calling that promotion “The Road to WSOP Paradise,” or will they think of something more inventive this time?

Where Does the Road to WSOP Europe Start?

The first direct satellite to take place on GG Poker is a Seat Only satellite, which costs €1,050 to enter and has three seats guaranteed. It starts at 21.00 (CET) on Sunday 21st July and this is the likely start-time for the WSOPE direct satellites every week.

The satellites use the target stack format. Players start with 10,000 chips and as soon as they reach the target of 110,000 they are awarded their seat into the WSOP Europe Main Event.

It remains to be seen whether GG Poker will add package satellites to the Road to WSOP Europe schedule and if they do, more details will surely be released soon.

Not many have the bankroll to just buy-in directly to €1,050 online tournaments, which is why there is a satellite feeder system that enables players to start at €12 and work their way up to the €1,050 direct satellite.

The €12 feeders award tickets into the next stage, which are €108 buy-in satellites, from which the winner will receive tickets into the €1,050 Road to WSOP Europe Satellites.

The 2024 World Series of Poker Europe

The 2024 World Series of Poker Europe takes place from 18 September - 9 October at Kings Casino, Rozvadov, in the Czech Republic. Kings Casino has hosted the WSOPE for many years and s the largest poker casino in Europe.

The venue has a 4-star hotel onsite and houses an enormous dedicated Poker Arena, which holds over 100 tables, plus additional space for more tables, when required. It also has a permanent TV table, ensuring coverage of the Series will be live streamed throughout.

The 2024 WSOP Europe includes 15 bracelet events and has €15m in prize pool guarantees. The Main Event, which has a €10,350 buy-in ands a €5m guarantee starts on October 4th, 2024.
