With APT Taipei due to start soon, the Asian Poker Tour (APT) sponsored by Natural8 has revealed the dates and location of its second festival of the year, at Shinhwa Resort on Jeju Island, South Korea. This high-stakes poker event is scheduled to unfold at the luxurious Jeju Shinhwa Resort, from April 26 to May 5, 2024.

APT is known for offering big guarantees on its prize pools and the Jeju event is no exception. With a Main Event that promises a staggering KRW 2 billion (approximately $1.5 million) prize pool guarantee, the festival is set to be a highlight for the region. Across ten days, players will compete for a slice of the more than KRW 5 billion (circa $3.76 million) in total guaranteed prize money across all events.

Festival Highlights and Key Events

The APT Jeju 2024 kicks off with the APT National Cup, featuring a KRW 200 million ($150,000) guarantee. The opening weekend also sees the Mystery Bounty event sponsored by Natural8 and the APT Super High Roller take place. Natural 8 is also sponsoring a Zodiac Classic event, which is a live version of an online tournament held on their site and on GG Poker.

The Main Event with its (USD) $1.5 million guarantee is the crown jewel of the festival and requires over 800 players to enter to avoid an overlay.

The full festival schedule has not yet been released but will include a diverse range of games including pot-limit Omaha, No Limit Hold’em variations and mixed games. There will also be a daily high roller tournament.
