Alejandro Lococo, widely recognised by his stage name "Papo MC," is an Argentinian MC and poker player with significant achievements in both fields.

Alejandro Lococo, a former PokerStars ambassador, has accumulated over $14.8 million in live tournament earnings, including four cashes at the World Series of Poker (WSOP).

His poker career reached a milestone in 2021 when he finished seventh at the WSOP Main Event final table, earning over $1.22 million.

Before this achievement, his largest live cash was $36,772 for a fifth-place finish in the MILLIONS South America Rio Open.

In 2024, Lococo secured his first WSOP bracelet at the WSOP Paradise 2024 in The Bahamas by winning Event #2: $1,000,000 Triton Million.

This win earned him $12,070,000 after beating Phenom Poker ambassador Benjamin Heath heads-up. The event featured 96 entrants and spanned three days of high-stakes competition.

Lococo's first recorded live cash came in April 2016 and the player has recorded three six-figure paydays so far (Hendon Mob).

One notable result came during the 2022 European Poker Tour (EPT) Eureka Main Event when Lococo took the numero uno spot for a payday of over $457K.

Lococo's WSOP Achievements

Lococo's WSOP earnings total $1,233,114, bolstered by his seventh-place finish in the 2021 Main Event for $1.225 million. His only prior WSOP cash was in 2019 when he finished 107th in Event #82: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Double Stack for $3,654.

During the 2021 Main Event, Lococo maintained a strong performance throughout. On Day 3, he bagged 803,000 chips, placing him in the top 11% of chip stacks.

By Day 7, he had amassed a stack of 83.7 million chips, making him the second-largest stack at the final table.

Lococo's run ended after a pivotal hand against German professional Koray Aldemir. In this hand:

  • Lococo raised to 2,000,000 pre-flop and faced a three-bet to 5,600,000 from Aldemir in the cutoff.
  • After calling and seeing a flop of J♥J♣9♣, Lococo checked. Aldemir bet 3,900,000, and Lococo called.
  • The turn brought the 8♥. Lococo checked again and called Aldemir's larger bet of 11,400,000.
  • On the river (3♦), Lococo checked for a third time. Aldemir bet more than the pot after taking over a minute to decide.
  • Lococo called all-in for his remaining 46,100,000 chips within seconds but was eliminated when Aldemir revealed a full house with 9♥9♦ against Lococo's pocket tens (10♣10♠).

In 2024 at WSOP Paradise's Triton Million event with a $1 million buy-in, Lococo emerged as the champion after defeating Phenom Poker ambassador Benjamin Heath heads-up.

This victory marked his first WSOP bracelet win and earned him an impressive $12,070,000 top prize. This payday also happens to be the Argentinian’s career best live score.

As per Hendon Mob, Lococo has over $14 million in live tournament earnings and is placed 83rd on the All Time Money List.

It remains to be seen what Lococo does in other WSOP Paradise 2024 tournaments.
