Asian Poker Tour To Host APT Championship Worth $5 Million In November 2025

A major addition to Asian Poker Tour's (APT) 2025 calendar is the APT Championship (APTC), which will serve as the season finale. 

This new event is set to offer the largest prize pool guarantee in the tour's history. The season will commence with the APT Manila Classic, scheduled from February 7 to 16 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria.

The newly introduced APT Championship (APTC) will close the 2025 season, running from November 14 to 30. The event will be held at the Red Point Business Center in Taipei, Taiwan, in collaboration with the Chinese Texas Hold'em Poker Club (CTP). This 17-day festival marks the longest duration for a single event in the tour's history.

The APTC Main Event, a freezeout tournament, features a TWD 350,000 buy-in and a TWD 165 million guaranteed prize pool. Throughout the 2025 season, players will have opportunities to qualify for the APTC Main Event. 

The organisers have confirmed that winners of the APT Main Event, APT Super High Roller, and APT High Roller at any 2025 festival will automatically secure a seat in the APTC Main Event.

The APT Manila Classic 2025 marks the first event of the season, offering players their initial chance to win entry to the APT Championship. Scheduled from February 7 to February 16, in partnership with Metro Card Club, this 10-day poker series will take place at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria. 

Natural8 is hosting satellites and onlive Day 1s for the Main Event. Here's players can qualify for the marquee tournament at a much lower cost.

The previous APT event in Manila saw Daniel Lee emerge victorious from an entry pool of 1,081 in the APT Main Event. Lee secured his first major title and a lion's share of the PHP 100 million prize pool.

For the 2025 edition, the organisers have set higher benchmarks. The series will feature 100 tournaments with a combined prize pool guarantee of PHP 120 million with the Main Event offering PHP 60 million in prize pool.
